The hotel is set in a stunning property, with generously sized and elegantly appointed rooms dotted around the hills near the lakes. A pleasant short walk through the gardens leads to the rooms, but buggies are available for assistance. However, the rooms can feel quite cold without a heating system.

Staying at the villa Quercia was a mixed experience. The rooms were enormous but unclean and dated, not in the main building, and the distance to the breakfast restaurant was a hassle. The staff, however, were lovely and accommodating. The location was beautiful, overlooking Lake Como, but not very practical for easy movement around the property. The dining options were memorable but somewhat limited. Overall, a stay with highs and lows.
